HSP-8
DESCRIPTION
Connect
up to 8 inductive transducers of any type via the parallel or serial port on your
computer!
Probe Products Corporation's HSP-8 is a high speed transducer signal conditioner for up
to 8 inductive transducers of any type
(including LVDT, RVDT, LVRT, half-bridge and proximity). With the HSP-8, real-time collection of dimensional data is
possible at greater cost effectiveness than conventional signal conditioning methods.
The HSP-8 is a self-contained system
which connects to any IBM compatible computer through the printer connector
(parallel port) or the serial connector (com port). A single HSP-8
provides signal conditioning for up to 8 transducers, expandable to a
maximum of 40 transducers through the use of additional sub-systems.
If required, Probe Products Corporation can substitute DC inputs for transducer
inputs.
A powerful on-board processor performs multiple
real-time computations (such as A+B, max/min hold, TIR
and trigonometric functions) before transferring measurements to the host
computer. The form of the computations is user
configurable to match the application. Measurement
values can be presented in a way most meaningful to the operator. Data collection is fast and efficient, the HSP-8 can perform
2,000
or more readings per second with
14 bit resolution.
Measurements can be directly imported
into a variety of standard SPC software systems. The HSP-8's network compatibility
allows use on a low cost diskless workstation where the operator gets instant dimensional
data and the network provides for archiving, detailed analysis and report generation at a
central computer.
To acquaint new users with the powerful features of the HSP-8, an
application
program is furnished with the system. This program can be used as supplied to
set up a measurement system, or it can be used as a basis for customized software.
